![]() People who do this without giving any evidence can be a bit annoying. I see various theories about the game which state this like a fact. I keep seeing people say that Frisk and Chara are different people, but I don't see how that would work (especially considering that Chara will keep whatever name you enter, when you do a genocide run). Chara decides to use the fake name "Frisk", to protect everyone. Because of what had happened before, where Asrial put everyone's lives in danger, Chara does not want to reveal who he/she is, as it would freak everyone out and make Asrial return to his obsessive self. After the Asrial fight, Chara sees that Asrial is coming to terms with grief. Chara now fully realizes that he/she is the same person as the first human. They jump lower, but they are able to follow up on a lot of their attacks. The way that I interpret the pacifist ending is that after Frisk/Chara restores everyone's memories by "reaching for their souls", he/she then finds his/her own soul (which Asgore would have taken when he/she died) and recovers his/her own memories. In Gencide mode, Frisk becomes faster as well, but their fighting style becomes more of a rush-down centric character, trying to put the pressure on their opponents. they get Pacifist points for each time they dodge a successful attack, hits with her special moves. Therefore, their attacks become more light hearted and deal less damage, however, they can move away and jump an additional time. In Pacifist mode, Frisk's movement becomes faster and their fighting style becomes more focus on avoiding conflict. When Frisk is in a mode, they won't turn back into normal Frisk unless they are KO'd while their meter is in the middle. If Frisk doesn't do anything that influences the meter to move, or does something that aligns with the other mode, the meter will slowly move to the other side. When Frisk performs certain options, the meter will either move towards the left (Pacifist) or the right (Genocide). At the beginning of the match, this meter will start at the center. Genocide, on the other hand, has a lackluster recovery and needs to get very close in order to deal enough damage to the opponent.Īt anytime during a match, Frisk will have a gauge on above her HUD at all times. Pacifist has a hard time KO'ing at high percents and tends to suffer from having to punish in order to get good damage on the opponent. Default Frisk just has too many average stats that can make them outclassed by the rest of the cast. Their strengths and weaknesses differ between the modes they take. This makes Frisk unpredictable, because a Frisk at the beginning of the match, can be very different towards the end. Pacifist centers around a fluid hit-and-run spacing game, while Genocide has a much more power-based rushdown playstyle. ![]() However, everything changes when Frisk is able to transform into their Pacifist and Genocide modes, when they gain a completely different playstyle. As such, default Frisk can be seen as fairly lackluster and this power unbalance, especially at the beginning of the match can hinder them greatly. They hold more of a balanced, all around character, having decent strengths, but nothing that makes them great in any one area. By default, Frisk is benefited with good disjoints, and a good jump speed, but is average in everything else. This includes more detail to their hair and clothing, and more updated animations.įrisk is a "stance-change" character, meaning their playstyle can be changed in the middle of battle. ![]() ![]() They have a notable updated design to fit with the overall aesthetic of Super Smash Bros. ![]() They hails from the Undertale series, and were announced alongside Kris.ĭue to being based off of the Earthbound, Frisk is heavily based off of the designs of the Earthbound characters like Ness. They were planned to be in the game's starting roster on it's first version, but had to be released via the game's first patch due to time constants. Frisk (新鮮な, Shinsen) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. ![]()
